Article Types and Languages
Research Articles: original research, in Chinese or English (English encouraged)
Reviews: comprehensive surveys of a research area, usually by invitation
Short Communications: rapid reports of significant preliminary results
Chinese manuscripts must include English titles, abstracts and keywords; English manuscripts must include Chinese titles and abstracts.
How to Submit
Click "Submit Online" in the navigation, fill in the manuscript information and upload your manuscript (Word format, ≤50MB). A manuscript code (e.g., MS-2026-0001) is issued immediately upon submission.
Track Your Manuscript
After submission, check the review status anytime on the Track Manuscript page with your manuscript code and corresponding email.
Manuscript Format
Structure: title, authors and affiliations, abstract (200–300 words), keywords (3–8), main text (Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion), acknowledgements (if any), references
References follow the numeric style of GB/T 7714—2015
SI units; fungal Latin binomials in italics with the full genus and species names at first mention
Figures and tables with bilingual captions; images at least 300 dpi
Accession numbers or culture collection identifiers required for sequences and strains
Peer Review Process
All submissions undergo double-agnostic peer review by at least two experts, followed by a final decision by the editor-in-chief. The whole process normally takes no more than 8 weeks.
Ethics Statements
Submissions must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere
All listed authors must have made substantial contributions and approved the manuscript
Studies involving human or animal subjects must comply with ethical requirements
Manuscripts are screened for plagiarism before publication
Charges and Copyright
Articles are published open access under CC BY 4.0. To sustain the journal's editorial and publishing operation, a modest page charge applies to accepted manuscripts. The rate for 2026–2027 is CNY 1,000 per page (approximately 1,300 characters per page).
